Tac-Sic is a piece which starts with the idea of “the structure of a memory”. What is physical and what is not? The work talks about the neurological side versus the abstract chemical-electric side.
What is content and what is container? There is still a lot of we don’t know about the brain and its working processes.
For the project, a real TAC (it is the word used for a CT scan in Spanish) was taken, and from it I created seven brain vectorial drawings, to be used later in the laser cutting for creating the sides of the light boxes.
For me, a very appealing fact in this work is how it makes an approach between what is Art, what is Biology, what is Modern Medicine… it prooves that beauty is everywhere.
